The Employers Consultative Association of Malawi (Ecam) has formed a strategic partnership with Birches Group LLC, a leading provider of total compensation surveys in developing markets, which will see Ecam co-sponsoring the Birches Group multi-sector compensation and benefits survey in Malawi.<\/p>\n
The agreement will also see Ecam promoting survey participation as a best practice amongst its member companies and in addition, Birches Group, will provide Ecam with periodic insights based on the survey data, to keep members informed of labour market developments in Malawi.<\/p>\n
In a statement announcing the partnership, Ecam said training courses and other activities are also planned to provide professional development opportunities for human resources professionals in Malawi.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are excited to work with Ecam as a sponsor of our survey and a collaborative partner in Malawi,\u201d said Gary McGillicuddy, the Managing Partner of Birches Group. He added, \u201cBirches Group has been conducting surveys in Malawi for a long time. Since 2012, however, we have seen a real uptick in the level of interest as Malawi has navigated through challenging economic conditions. Working with Ecam, we will be able to expand our survey and also be informed about other opportunities to serve the Ecam member companies and the local employer community.\u201d<\/p>\n
