Two-time Flames assistant coach Patrick Mabedi has given a detailed explanation of reasons behind his resignation barely two weeks into his job at Cape Town All Stars in South Africa.<\/p>\n
Kickoff.com <\/em>quotes the former Kaizer Chiefs captain as having thrown in the towel after \u2018failing to click\u2019 with his assistant Dylan Deane.<\/p>\n Mabedi, who also played for Big Bullets on the local scene and Moroka Swallows in South Africa, says he wanted to bring in his own assistant when he took charge at the National First Division strugglers.<\/p>\n However, club management rejected his request- prompting him to quit earlier this month.<\/p>\n \u201cThere were a couple of things I requested. I spoke to the chairman, Lunga Ntwana, and we agreed certain terms,\u201d Mabedi told KickOff.com<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cBut the main issue is when I got there, the information I was getting from my assis tant , I thought I will get the same philosophy as mine but it was not the same. I wanted to have my own assistant coach and I could not manage to work with him,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n \u201cI started to build the team in two matches that I had and it was bad when I arrived. Players did not know most of the things. I tried to get the team into shape and right combinations and things started to click.<\/p>\n \u201cBut unfortunately things did not go the way I wanted but I need to move on.
