I would like to go all the way to the top and be ranked highly. I would like to be granted a place in the country\u2019s boxing folkrole,\u201d Matoga said.<\/p>\n<p>Matoga, who said she joined boxing after realising that only a few females are into this sport, also threw warning jabs at fellow female boxers, saying the need to watch out for her.<\/p>\n<p>She was among the supporting acts for a bout between Tanzania\u2019s Mwinyi Mzengela and Malawi\u2019s Salim \u2018Destroyer\u2019 Chazama.<\/p>\n<p>The international fight ended controversially through a technical knockout in favour of Chazama.<\/p>\n<p>For a long time, boxing has been perceived as a men\u2019s sport and only a very few women have thrived in this field with former World Boxing Forum welterweight champion, Agness Mtimaukanena-Mwando, being the most successful.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Up-and-coming female boxer, Euma Matoga, says no pugilist will stand in her way to success in her boxing career.
