Rookies Surestream FC displayed a wonderful performance to force a goal-less draw against Epac in a TNM Super League match played at Civo Stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Epac were outclassed for a good part of the game, unable to suppress Surestream\u2019s attacking verve led by Bernard Chimaimba and Godfrey Masonda.<\/p>\n
Enjoying good support from the crowd at Civo Stadium, Surestream did not disappoint throughout the game as they swarmed all over Epac from the start.<\/p>\n
The speed at which Surestream counter-attacked was ferocious but they were just unlucky not to claim their first win in the TNM Super League.<\/p>\n
Epac had to thank their goalkeeper Emanuel Thenesi, who frustrated Surestream on a number of occasions.<\/p>\n
Although Epac are considered as one of the good sides in the TNM Super League, the truth is that they are yet to convince under new coach Leo Mpulula.<\/p>\n
Epac have only five points from the available 21 this season and there are signs that the Dean Josiah- Banda sponsored side might be one of the relegation contenders if they don\u2019t pull up their socks.<\/p>\n
Despite their poor show in the league, Epac assistant coach Abasi Makawa, believes the team was making progress.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are just unlucky but we are playing good football this season. Epac fans should not lose hope in the team, we will soon return to winning ways,\u201d said Makawa.<\/p>\n
On his part, Surestream technical director, Peter Mponda, admitted that his side was not sure of survival in the top flight league.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe need to start winning games now otherwise, we will be under pressure in the second round. It\u2019s too early to press a panic button but we need good results to stay in the league,\u201dsaid Mponda<\/p>\n
