Malawi Defence Force boxer, Chimwemwe Chiotcha\u2019s mission of winning the World Boxing Organisation-Africa middleweight title against Namibia, Walter Kautondokwa, ended in defeat on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Chiotcha retired in round 10 at Windhoek Country Club.<\/p>\n
It was also a familiar story for his compatriots, Chikondi Makawa, Charles Misanjo and Limbani Masamba.<\/p>\n
No Pain No Gain Boxing Promotions\u2019 Managing Director, Craig Rousseau, claimed that Chiotcha retired due to his opponent\u2019s fouls.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was a real brawl as Walter never allows his opponents to pass round four. Chiotcha fought against a strong boxer, but he was hit with hard punches on the back of his head and neck. His neck was affected, so he had to stop to avoid an injury,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In another fight\u2014 a six-rounder\u2014Masamba lost to Jatoorora Tjingaveta on a split points\u2019 decision in a welterweight non-title fight whereas Misanjo lost to Emmanuel Mungandjala in another six-round non-title welterweight contest.<\/p>\n
Chikondi Makawa also lost.<\/p>\n
Commenting about the trio, Rousseau claimed that Limbani was robbed of victory.<\/p>\n
