Agnes Mtimaukanena- Mwando received a donation of a return air ticket to enable her trainer to travel to Zimbabwe for a World Boxing Council- Silver medal fight against Zambian, Loreta Muzeya.<\/p>\n
Beata Printing donated the air ticket to Mtimaukanena\u2019s Malawi-based Zimbabwean trainer, Sankhulani, in Blantyre.<\/p>\n
The company also donated K200,000 to Mtimaukanena\u2019s stable, Alufandika Boxing Promotions, to enable some officials to watch the fight in Harare.<\/p>\n
Mtimaukanena and her husband, Brian Mwando, were expected to leave for Zimbabwe yesterday. The fight is on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Beata Printing Sales and Marketing Manager, Rodney Chiwengo, speaking on behalf of the company\u2019s Executive Chairperson, Ben Phiri, said the company cherishes its working relationship with the sporting world.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are obliged to help Malawian athletes who put the country on the world map through their exploits. We are supporting her because we know that she is lifting Malawi\u2019s flag,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Mtimaukanena said the donation would motivate her to aim for victory.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am really grateful to Beata for the support. I can only pay them back with a win,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Mtimaukanena\u2019s manager, Hassan Mitha, also paid tribute to Beata for the support.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe WBC Silver title is one of the biggest, so she needs our support,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
