{"id":33243,"date":"2016-10-07T10:31:02","date_gmt":"2016-10-07T08:31:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=33243"},"modified":"2016-10-07T10:32:37","modified_gmt":"2016-10-07T08:32:37","slug":"thoko-suya-benardetta-maliro-to-perform-in-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/10\/07\/thoko-suya-benardetta-maliro-to-perform-in-south-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"Thoko Suya, Benardetta Maliro to perform in South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gospel musicians Thoko Suya and Benardetta Maliro have been invited to Cape Town, South Africa for performances on October 16 and 23.<\/p>\n<p>The two will share the stage with other female gospel musicians based in Cape Town in a show dubbed Gospel Explosion.<\/p>\n<p>Suya, famed for songs such as <em>Amandikonda <\/em>and <em>Adzandinyamula, <\/em>confirmed the invitation in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am happy that I will be performing in South Africa. This is a chance for me to perform to a different audience and minister the word of God,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>The Gospel Explosion has been organised by the Classic Ladies made up of Samalani Goba Paulosi, 3 Sisters and Catherine Nguluwe.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the first ever Gospel Explosion in Cape Town. Cape Town is the mother city and we thought we should have a gospel show where female musicians can share the stage together,\u201d Paulosi said.<\/p>\n<p>She said all the preparations for the two shows have been finalised and that they are expecting Suya and Maliro to be in Cape Town by October 12.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have made it that they come early so that they can practice with the band because we want people to experience live performances,\u201d Paulosi said<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Gospel musicians Thoko Suya and Benardetta Maliro have been invited to Cape Town, South Africa for performances on October 16 and 23.
