The idea of the establishment of the Cedar Cultural Centre aimed at promoting arts and culture earned the Malawi team a third place in Germany recently.<\/p>\n
According to a press statement, (released) by Goethe-Institute recently, the aims at creating a platform for tourists to find out more about Malawian arts and culture and at the same time give artists a chance to showcase their works.<\/p>\n
The statement said the Malawi team was made up of pupils from Bambino Secondary School, who participated in the Future Young Entrepreneurs Project.<\/p>\n
The statement said Bambino Secondary School has been participating in the EU-funded project for some time and that this time 30 pupils were part of the project.<\/p>\n
The project encourages young people to come up with business ideas of sustainable start-ups.<\/p>\n
According to the statement, two winning teams from Malawi travelled to Berlin.<\/p>\n
There were 14 teams from seven countries.<\/p>\n
Adding to the excitement of coming third, the students met Michael B. Kamphambe Nkhoma, who is the Ambassador of the Republic of Malawi in Germany.<\/p>\n
Bambino Secondary School in Lilongwe is supported by the Goethe- Institute through the Pasch (Schools: Partners for the Future) network which promotes the worldwide learning of German as a foreign language.<\/p>\n
