It was not easy but we really deserved it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>During the final, former Orlando Pirates\u2019 midfielder, Daine Klate grabbed a brace with the other goal coming from Eleazar Rodgers.<\/p>\n<p>Mhango has made a bright start to his career at Wits having won three-man-of-the-match awards and scoring once this season.<\/p>\n<p>He moved to Wits from Bloemfontein Celtic, but spent six months on loan at Golden Arrows last season.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, according to Wits\u2019 policy, their players will share R4 million (about K168 million) of the R8 million (about K366 million) MTN prize money.<\/p>\n<p>However, <em>Soccer Laduma <\/em>football magazine\u2019s sports writer, Benjamin Nyirenda, said on Sunday that the players will donate their MTN 8 cut to Wits University.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe players say they want to donate their share to the university to renovate the school that was damaged due to students\u2019 protests,\u201d Nyirenda said from South Africa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Flames\u2019 forward, Gabadihno Mhango, received his first ever silverware in South Africa as his Bidvest Wits thrashed Mamelodi Sundowns 3-0 to lift the MTN 8 Cup at Mbombela Stadium on Saturday.
