Former Malawi National Football Team\u2019s caretaker coach, Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan, has made it clear that he is ready to take up a coaching post at any local club if offered such a job.<\/p>\n
Rhamadan is jobless after the expiry, on September 10 2016, of his one-month contract as the Flames\u2019 caretaker coach.<\/p>\n
He was in charge of the game against Swaziland at Kamuzu Stadium where the Flames won 1-0, courtesy of Gerald Phiri jnr\u2019s strike.<\/p>\n
However, the Burundian technician said no club had approached him.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am a professional coach. I can coach any team. In a coaching career, you are not attached to one club only. Jose Mourinho joined Manchester United after some good years with Chelsea, so if a good offer comes, I can see what happens,\u201d Ramadhan said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Ramadhan is among the favourites for the Flames\u2019 job after Football Association of Malawi (Fam) General Secretary, Suzgo Nyirenda, recently told the local media that the coach had an upper hand following the victory over Swaziland.<\/p>\n
Over 65 coaches, including five locals, are interest in the Flames\u2019 job, but Fam is yet to shortlist the applicants for interviews.<\/p>\n
Ramadhan also worked as an assistant to former Flames coach, Ernest Mtawali, whose contract was not renewed after a dismal performance in the African Cup of Nations (Afcon) campaign.<\/p>\n
Before accepting the job as the Flames\u2019 assistant coach, Ramadhan was Nyasa Big Bullets\u2019 head coach in two spells.<\/p>\n
After his first spell with Bullets from 1997 to 2000, Ramadhan also coached Be Forward Wanderers before picking a job at Botswana\u2019s Township Rollers, then relocating to South Africa, where he took charge of clubs such as Black Leopards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
