Malawian players\u2014Robert Ng\u2019ambi and Esau Kanyenda\u2014 had a fair slice of South Africa Absa Premiership action on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Ng\u2019ambi played a dominant role for Platinum Stars as they came from behind to force a 1-1 draw against Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n
The visiting Stars, who started the game brightly with Ng\u2019ambi flashing his effort marginally wide, were stunned by substitute Thabiso Kutumela\u2019s 55th minute goal for Pirates.<\/p>\n
However, Stars fought gallantly and got rewarded through Thobani Kunene\u2019s leveler in time added on.<\/p>\n
Pirates wasted a chance to top the 16-member table as they lie second with eight points from four games whereas Stars are placed seventh with five points also from four outings.<\/p>\n
In another game, veteran striker, Kanyenda\u2019s Polokwane City condemned Maritzburg to a third straight defeat at the Harry Gwala Stadium also on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n
Kanyenda was an unused substitute during the game, which City won 1-0 to move to fourth place also with eight points from five games.<\/p>\n
Sipho Jembula\u2019s 67th strike handed City the win.<\/p>\n
