{"id":31965,"date":"2016-09-16T10:58:47","date_gmt":"2016-09-16T08:58:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=31965"},"modified":"2016-09-16T10:58:47","modified_gmt":"2016-09-16T08:58:47","slug":"bricks-to-host-fun-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/09\/16\/bricks-to-host-fun-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Bricks to host fun day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reigning basketball national champions, Bricks, will for the first time, celebrate the team\u2019s contribution to the sport by hosting a family event.<\/p>\n<p>Dubbed BricksNation, the fun day will be held at Blantyre Sports Club on September 24.<\/p>\n<p>The fun day will also mark the official launch of Bricks\u2019 women\u2019s side, Lady Bricks, which was formed early this year.<\/p>\n<p>BricksNation Organising Committee\u2019s Chairperson, Omalha Kanjo, said the day will be filled with fun.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are bringing to Blantyre a never-seen-before event that we have dubbed \u201cBricksNation Fun Day\u201d. This is an event for the whole family. There will be jumping castles, face painting, sack races and other activities for children and the young-at-heart,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Kanjo also said Lady Bricks had established themselves as a force to reckon with.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe idea behind this was to develop, promote and grow ladies\u2019 basketball in the Southern Region as it has been dormant for a long time.
