{"id":31876,"date":"2016-09-15T10:46:06","date_gmt":"2016-09-15T08:46:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=31876"},"modified":"2016-09-15T10:46:07","modified_gmt":"2016-09-15T08:46:07","slug":"malawi-queens-still-sixth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/09\/15\/malawi-queens-still-sixth\/","title":{"rendered":"Malawi Queens still sixth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Malawi netball Queens have barely maintained their sixth position on the 35-member world ranking table, which the International Netball Federation (INF) has released.<\/p>\n<p>In Africa, the Queens, who have been inactive since last year, are second to rivals, South Africa\u2019s Spar Proteas.<\/p>\n<p>In reaction, Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) President, Rosy Chinunda, said she was worried by the Queens\u2019 inactivity, saying this was contributing to the team\u2019s stagnation on the ranking.<\/p>\n<p>There are only seven ranked African teams on the list with Swaziland at the tail end on the continent and 30th in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Argentina are the least ranked team in the world whereas Australia are number one.<\/p>\n<p>The rankings are likely to change when the worlds\u2019 best six teams participate in Fast5 Netball World Series to be held in New Zealand from October 29 to 30.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe latest list has been updated on September 7 2016 and includes matches up to August 20 2016.
