Depleted Nyasa Big Bullets, who have been hit by injuries, have inquired about the availability of South Africa-based attacker, Robin Ngalande for a transfer.<\/p>\n
The TNM Super League defending champions are grappling with the unavailability of eight regulars due to various reasons, including injuries. Bullets are second on the log table with 31 points.<\/p>\n
Bullets\u2019 Acting General Secretary, Kelvin Moyo, while confirming to have inquired about Ngalande, insisted that there was nothing concrete about a potential transfer.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we heard that he was released by Bidvest Wits FC [South African club], we inquired about him. We basically wanted to see if he is coming back home or not. At the moment, the picture is still not clear if he will stay in South Africa,\u201d Moyo said on Saturday.<\/p>\n
Bullets are without Bashir Maunde, Chikondi Likwemba, Mike Mkwate and John Lanjesi. Muhamad Sulumba, Pilirani Zonda and Dalitso Sailesi have also not featured for Bullets in the league\u2019s second round.<\/p>\n
Bullets\u2019 interest in Ngalande should not come as a surprise as he was offloaded by Wits FC last week. He spent last season on loan at Platinum Stars and at Ajax cape Town the previous campaign.<\/p>\n
However, Ngalande\u2019s manager, Paul Mitchell, poured cold water on the prospect of having Ngalande joining Bullets.<\/p>\n
Ngalande was recently appointed Chigoli Football Academy Ambassador in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n
\u201cRobin won\u2019t play in Malawi. We are looking at some options. He is training following a [training] programme [to keep fit]. He had to be in Malawi to attend to some personal matters,\u201d Mitchell, of Siyavuma Sports Agency, said.<\/p>\n
Ngalande was once touted as the next Samuel Eto\u2019o Fils (Cameroonian legend) after he impressed at Atletico Madrid Youth Team in Spain.<\/p>\n
He rubbed shoulders with stars such as David De Gea and Diego Costa but eventually opted out of Madrid and signed for Wits.<\/p>\n
In another development, Moyo disclosed that they had sought Football Association of Malawi\u2019s intervention on Sulumba\u2019s failed move to Polokwane City of South Africa.<\/p>\n
Moyo said they sought Fam\u2019s help after learning from the player that he did not undergo trials at City but signed an outright contract alongside defender Lanjesi.<\/p>\n
