Midfielder Joseph Kamwendo says his return to his childhood club, Be Forward Wanderers, does mean that he is finished.<\/p>\n
Kamwendo signed a two-year deal with the Nomads last week after terminating his contract with Mozambican side, Liga Desportivo Maputo.<\/p>\n
His return coincided with his being dropped from Malawi National Football Team squad that eventually beat Swaziland 1-0 at Kamuzu Stadium last Sunday.<\/p>\n
The former Orlando Pirates\u2019 attacking midfielder said he was told that his salary and allowances would be reduced as the Mozambican club\u2019s President [Rafiq Seedat] was resigning.<\/p>\n
\u201cActually, there were a lot of factors behind my termination of the contract in Mozambique. I know that some quarters are saying that I am old and that I am finished,\u201d Kamwendo explained.<\/p>\n
\u201cThose who have been following me will agree that I started this career when I was young and I am not that old to hang up my boots. I am a family man and I need to take care of my sons.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ex-Zimbabwe\u2019s Caps United star then vowed to prove his worth on Saturday when Wanderers play Silver Strikers in a Carlsberg Cup final at Kamuzu Stadium.<\/p>\n
