Carlsberg Cup finalists, Silver Strikers and Be Forward Wanderers, have stepped up their preparations ahead of their meeting this Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium.<\/p>\n
Both teams, which will meet for the first in the cup\u2019s history, have increased their training schedule from one to two per day.<\/p>\n
Nomads Team Manager, Steve Madeira, said the preparations were going on smoothly.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are preparing just like for any other game. There are no special preparations, but we are determined to defend the cup,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Elijah Kananji of Wanderers is looking to become the first coach to win the competition for third successive year.<\/p>\n
He won it with Nyasa Big Bullets in 2014 before snatching it for Wanderers last season.<\/p>\n
Silver assistant coach, Lovemore Fazili, is also determined to win the cup for the first time. There is K10 million at stake for the champion.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are confident that we will win the cup this year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Silver progressed to their first ever Carlsberg Cup final after a deserved 3-1 victory over Mafco whereas Wanderers defeated Mangochi Police FC 1-0 in another semifinal.<\/p>\n
