{"id":31313,"date":"2016-09-06T09:24:13","date_gmt":"2016-09-06T07:24:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=31313"},"modified":"2016-09-06T09:24:13","modified_gmt":"2016-09-06T07:24:13","slug":"uk-based-artist-thindwa-to-perform-at-miss-malawi-uk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/09\/06\/uk-based-artist-thindwa-to-perform-at-miss-malawi-uk\/","title":{"rendered":"UK-based artist Thindwa to perform at Miss Malawi UK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UK-based Malawian musician, Nick Thindwa, will perform at the Miss Malawi UK beauty pageant to be held on September 17.<\/p>\n<p>During the pageant, Thindwa is expected to share the stage with urban artists Martse and Kell Kay.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am honoured to be part of this annual event and I look forward to perform back in Malawi in the near future,\u201d Thindwa said.<\/p>\n<p>He said performing at the pageant will give him enough time to reach out to more people with his music.<\/p>\n<p>The up and coming artist\u2019s first single <em>Muli Mphamvu <\/em>did well on the online charts within a week of its release.<\/p>\n<p>The song is currently number three on malawimusic.com Gospel Top 20 courtesy of massive downloads a feat which has also been achieved by his second single <em>Osadandaula. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Osadandaula <\/em>was released a week after <em>Muli Mphamvu. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know my name is not yet there but I am pushing myself and I know for sure I will break even. As I said I am happy with the way my songs are doing and this has motivated me.
