Sweden-based Malawian striker Tabitha Chawinga is on course to win her second Golden Boot Award in a foreign land as she leads the scorers chart with 10 goals.<\/p>\n
The former DD Sunshine forward hammered a brace in a 3-1 win over Ostersund DFF over the weekend to help her side, Kvarnsvedens IF cement top spot in the league.<\/p>\n
Kvarnsvedens are on top of the log table with 19 points from eight games, ahead of second-placed Limhamn Bunkef on goal difference.<\/p>\n
Despite joining the league already in progress, Chawinga is now leading goal scorer.<\/p>\n
In an interview on Tuesday, Chawinga vowed to maintain her grip at the summit of scorers chart.<\/p>\n
\u201cThings are going according to my plan. I will continue working hard to finish as the top goal scorer again. I have settled well here and my team mates are always supporting me,\u201d she said.\u201c<\/p>\n
I know it\u2019s not easy to maintain good form at the top level, but with God anything is possible,\u201d<\/p>\n
The former Krokom\/Dvarsatt IF player has set herself 40- goal target this season to win the golden boot.<\/p>\n
