{"id":31049,"date":"2016-09-01T11:11:15","date_gmt":"2016-09-01T09:11:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=31049"},"modified":"2016-09-01T11:11:16","modified_gmt":"2016-09-01T09:11:16","slug":"chawanangwa-kaonga-ready-to-quit-mozambique-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/09\/01\/chawanangwa-kaonga-ready-to-quit-mozambique-club\/","title":{"rendered":"Chawanangwa Kaonga ready to quit Mozambique club"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former Silver Strikers forward Chawanangwa Kaonga says he will not extend his stay with Mozambican club, Chibuto FC after the expiry of his contract in October this year.<\/p>\n<p>Kawonga joined the club in 2014 on a two-year deal in a reported K6.5 million fee and has scored vital goals for the club.<\/p>\n<p>However, in an interview on Tuesday, Kaonga admitted that he is home sick and ready to quit the Mocambola League outfit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am ready to leave the club in October. I will be a free agent so I will see what will happen,\u201d Kaonga said in a written response.<\/p>\n<p>Silver and Nyasa Big Bullets have expressed interest to sign the talented forward. Bullets have been long-time admirers of the forward.<\/p>\n<p>The former Under-20 striker said he has not made up his mind on which team he will join after the end of his contract with the Mozambican club.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s true that Bullets and Silver are interested in my services. But I am yet to choose between the two teams,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Bullets General Secretary, Kelvin Moyo confirmed interest in the player but refused to give more details on the matter.<\/p>\n<p>His Silver counterpart, Thabo Chakaka-Nyirenda, said discussions with Kaonga are progressing well.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are still discussing with him.
