{"id":31015,"date":"2016-08-31T12:04:19","date_gmt":"2016-08-31T10:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=31015"},"modified":"2016-08-31T12:04:19","modified_gmt":"2016-08-31T10:04:19","slug":"kamuzu-college-of-nursing-students-worried-over-court-delays","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/08\/31\/kamuzu-college-of-nursing-students-worried-over-court-delays\/","title":{"rendered":"Kamuzu College of Nursing students worried over court delays"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Kamuzu College of Nursing (KCN) students who were arrested for allegedly causing violence in the fees hike demonstrations that took place at their campus have expressed concern over delayed justice delivery on their case.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday morning, the 11 students reported to Lilongwe Magistrate\u2019s Court for the case where the court told them that each student would be updated about the progress on the phone.<\/p>\n<p>KCN Students Union President, Gift Banda, said the students are worried that they should just be waiting for a call.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYesterday all of them reported to Lilongwe Magistrate\u2019s Court for ruling. At 9.30 am, the court ruled that each student will be told way forward over the phone. They reviewed the court terms and signed the consensus,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Banda said the students are not happy with the way forward as they want to see the case closed, saying it is affecting them psychologically.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are not happy because our expectation is to see this case closed as the students are disturbed psychologically waiting for a final answer.
