Malawi national football team acting coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan has received a major boost ahead of Flames\u2019 dead-rubber 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Group L qualifier against Swaziland after all foreign-based players arrived on Monday.<\/p>\n
Flames will date Swaziland at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Flames skipper, Limbikani Mzava, who missed the Cosafa tournament as well as the Afcon qualifier against Zimbabwe, was among seven professionals that arrived at Chileka Airport.<\/p>\n
Recalled Platinum Stars midfielder, Robert Baggio Ng\u2019ambi, Micium Mhone of Jomo Cosmos and Mozambique based duo John Banda and Chimango Kayira have also arrived.<\/p>\n
In-form Bidvest Wits forward, Gabadinho Frank Mhango, and his teammate, Gerald Papa Phiri jnr completed the first set of the professionals.<\/p>\n
Mozambique based goalkeeper Charles Swini was due to arrive later during the day.<\/p>\n
The Flames contingent was welcomed by Football Association of Malawi (Fam) General Secretary, Suzgo Nyirenda and Flames Team Manager Clement Kafwawa.<\/p>\n
Mzava said they were excited to join their locally based colleagues as Flames seek to win their first game in the qualifier.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis game is still important to us. The result will have a bearing on Fifa ranking. Besides that we owe the nation victory having performed badly in previous games,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Kafwafwa said the technical panel was delighted with the arrival of foreign-based players.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe head coach and the rest of technical panel members will have ample time to fine tune before the final game,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
