Local welterweight champion, Kudakwache Banda, has mocked challenger, Limbani Masamba that he lacks strength and technique.<\/p>\n
Kudakwache, 23, has taunted Limbani ahead of their eight-round non-title bout set for September 4 at M1 Centre Point in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n
Kudakwache, the young brother to veteran Philemon Nkhakamila Banda, has been tipped as the next big thing for domestic boxing.<\/p>\n
He is unbeaten in the professional ranks. He has won 12 straight bouts, including eight knockouts.<\/p>\n
He lifted the welterweight title after defeating Chikondi Makawa on points.<\/p>\n
Kudakwache said Limbani, 26, was not strong enough to give him headache.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat does not mean that I underrate him. In boxing, anything can happen, including lucky punches. I will show him that we are class apart. He does not have the technique and strength to overcome me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Limbani, who boasts of 15 wins and five defeats in 20 fights, said he was determined to prove that he can match Kudakwache pound- by-pound.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis is a different fight so he should refrain from making strong statements which he cannot defend in the ring. He will pay for such statements. I will punish him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
New Dawn Boxing Promotions Managing Director, Mik e Chimaliza, said the fight was part of Kudakwache\u2019s preparations for his welterweight title defence.<\/p>\n
