Sunbird Tourism Limited through its hotels continues to give ladies a platform to have fun as it is yet again bringing a Ladies Night at Sunbird Capital Hotel in Lilongwe on Friday.<\/p>\n
Sunbird Tourism Limited Public Relations Officer, Akossa Mphepo, said yesterday that ladies should get set for a night of fun, laughter and meaningful exchange on Friday.<\/p>\n
Mphepo said limited spaces are available for the women\u2019s only event, which is proving to be a firm favourite.<\/p>\n
\u2018Sunbird has hosted Ladies Nights for over six years and over this period, it has come to be very popular with our female clientele, so much so that at the start of each year, we get a lot of requests for information on when we\u2019ll have this event at the respective Sunbird units,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Mphepo said Ladies Nights not only provide a secure environment for women to have fun but rather they are also a forum to interact on career, business, personal growth and self empowerment.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe believe that every engagement, both social and otherwise, should have a meaningful impact on an individual, which is why we try to incorporate activities and talks from a variety of women,\u201d Mphepo said.<\/p>\n
She said that during the event on Friday, a make-up artist from Goddess of Beauty Parlour will give make-up tips and advice and that Deedez Designs is set to showcase their outfits, among other things planned out for the evening.<\/p>\n
Mphepo said with the recently launched Buy Malawi strategy, giving a platform to local entrepreneurs to sell themselves will promote the purchase of locally produced goods and services.<\/p>\n
While Sunbird Capital will be dancing to a Ladies Night this Friday, Sunbird Mount Soche in Blantyre is also geared to host its own Ladies Chitenje Night on September 30.<\/p>\n
Mphepo said the Ladies Chitenje Night is part of the Buy Malawi initiative adding that the dress code during this event will strictly be anything made from Chitenje fabric.<\/p>\n
\u201cMuch as some of this fabric is not made locally; design and tailoring will most likely be done by Malawians, thereby supporting the home industry,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
