{"id":30134,"date":"2016-08-17T14:22:57","date_gmt":"2016-08-17T12:22:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=30134"},"modified":"2016-08-17T14:22:59","modified_gmt":"2016-08-17T12:22:59","slug":"more-business-centres-to-open-across-malawi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/08\/17\/more-business-centres-to-open-across-malawi\/","title":{"rendered":"More business centres to open across Malawi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Enterprise Motivation Network, a movement of entrepreneurs, has plans to open incubation centres across the country to offer support to star t-ups after the group successfully launched a business hub in Blantyre a few months ago.<\/p>\n<p>The business hub in Blantyre provides office space to over 50 start-ups with access to internet connectivity as well as boardroom facilities, among other amenities.<\/p>\n<p>Co-founder of Enterprise Motivation Network, Nick Vilelle, said the initiative has potential to boost entrepreneurial activities in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cT here is a lot of demand for office space. We have people coming in everyday asking for a place to set-up their business. We are now looking for premises in other parts of Blantyre and Lilongwe to open other platforms\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the business trends in the country, Vilelle said despite growing interest among entre preneurs, both old and new, the operating environment remains challenging.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHigh interest rates are among major stumbling blocks and there is need for concerted efforts to improve the situation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Enterprise Motivation Network, a movement of entrepreneurs, has plans to open incubation centres across the country to offer support to star t-ups after the group successfully launched a business hub in Blantyre a few months ago.
