{"id":30049,"date":"2016-08-16T12:30:52","date_gmt":"2016-08-16T10:30:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=30049"},"modified":"2016-08-16T12:30:52","modified_gmt":"2016-08-16T10:30:52","slug":"truck-kills-mother-daughter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/08\/16\/truck-kills-mother-daughter\/","title":{"rendered":"Truck kills mother, daughter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Residents of Goliyo in Ndirande Township woke up to a tragic morning on Monday when a Nissan UD Truck belonging to Chibuku Products Limited ran over a woman and her daughter who died on the spot.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased, Nesi Goshi aged 41 and her daughter Chinthenya aged five met their fate when the mother was escorting her daughter to school.<\/p>\n<p>Blantyre Police assistant spokesperson, Andrew Mayawo, confirmed the incident, saying the driver, Robert Wetland, aged 38, was taken to Ndirande Police Unit for security purpose.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are investigating the cause of the accident and we cannot give more details.
