Mzuni FC\u2019s coach, Alex Ngwira, has patted his charges on the back for achieving the team\u2019s objective of collecting a minimum of 20 points in the TNM Super League first round.<\/p>\n
Ngwira\u2019s tactics of aggression in set-pieces and pressing saw Mzuni stun Be Forward Wanderers 4-2 at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The students wound up the first round on 27 points. Usually, 30 points is considered a safety zone and Mzuni have 15 games to play in the second round.<\/p>\n
Last season, Mzuni survived in the league by the skin of their teeth after finishing 12th with 29 points, at par with 13th placed Dedza Young Soccer.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur objective for the first round was to reach the 20 points mark so that we should not play under pressure in the second round,\u201d Ngwira said in a post-match interview at the stadium.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is minimal difference in the standard play between Mzuni and Wanderers, but we had an edge because we have a young squad. We had the energy and we were pressing all over the pitch.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the game, Mzuni scored through Hudson Milanzi (brace), Liwindiko Mshane and Fraston Chisi.<\/p>\n
Wanderers scored through Jimmy Zakazaka and Peter Wadabwa to finish the first round on position seven with 24 points, eight points behind leaders, Blue Eagles.<\/p>\n
