Nyasa Big Bullets and Flames striker, Muhammad Sulumba, grabbed the only goal of the match as Polokwane City defeated Witbank Spurs 1-0 in a pre-season friendly match at Peter Mokaba Stadium in South Africa on Saturday.<\/p>\n
This was his first goal for the club in pre-season friendly games.<\/p>\n
Sulumba is being assessed by the Absa Premier Soccer League (PSL) club alongside Belgian forward, Martin Chris -Suarez.<\/p>\n
Sulumba\u2019s compatriot, Esau Kanyenda, confirmed that Sulumba had a grand game.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe had a fantastic game. It was one of his best performances here but management is yet to make a decision. I think by the end of this week, a decision will be made,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The new season in South Africa is expected to kick off this weekend.<\/p>\n
If Sulumba clinches a deal, he will join Kanyenda, who signed a season-long contract extension with the club recently.<\/p>\n
Sulumba also underwent trials at Jomo Cosmos but he did not make the grade.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Flames exciting forward, Robin Ngalande, is still hunting for a club in South Africa.<\/p>\n
Bidvest Wits decided against extending Ngalande\u2019s contract after a below par performance at Platinum Stars last season.<\/p>\n
Other Malawians Atusaye Nyondo and Limbikani Mzava joined Bloemfontein Celtic and Golden Arrows from University of Pretoria FC and Mpumalanga Black Aces, respectively.<\/p>\n
