The live in concert show featuring South Africa\u2019s artist Sipho Makhabane and the country\u2019s talented stars Faith Mussa and Patience Namadingo to be held at Bingu International Conference Centre\u2019s Umodzi Park in Lilongwe will cost people K15,000 for standard tickets and K25,000 for VIP.<\/p>\n
The concert, which is part of the fifth and official launch of the 50th edition of the National Product Magazine <\/em>will be held on August 26.<\/p>\n National Product Magazine <\/em>Managing Director Steve Chinyamula, told the press on Monday in Blantyre that all was set for the concert which was part of the official launch of the 50th edition of the magazine.<\/p>\n \u201cThe National Product Magazine <\/em>was born on August 26, 2011 after a careful analysis of the needs of consumers on the market, especially in showcasing products in the manufacturing industry, agriculture, transport, sports, fashion, religion and political sectors,\u201dChinyamula said.<\/p>\n He indicated that the market has received their magazine very well since they started as well as given them support, hence putting up a big launch spiced up with a concert featuring celebrated artists.<\/p>\n \u201cThe event is historic, hence bringing in such top artists to spice up this double celebration. For your information, discussions with all these respected artists have been concluded. Actually, Sipho Makhabane will jet in the country two days before the event,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Chinyamula said they opted to bring Makhabane because he has been featured in their magazine, adding that the fifth edition is dedicated to the transport and construction industry.<\/p>\n \u201cSipho Big Fish Makhabane is never shot of surprises. For more than a decade the gospel community would wait in awe of what he is about to serve, and he has never disappointed, his lyrical content has always been of encouragement, praise and worship,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Chinyamula said people should brace for a great performance on August 26 from the award-winning artist, who was born in 1965.<\/p>\n The South Africa artist\u2019s breakthrough came in the mid-90s with the hits Ngitinikela kuwe <\/em>and Yek\u2019intokozo<\/em>.<\/p>\n He went on to release a string of big-selling albums, including Calvary <\/em>(2001) and Moya Wami <\/em>in 2003.<\/p>\n Along the way, he has picked up numerous awards including receiving a Kora nomination which later earned him the nickname Big Fish for his influential role in the industry.<\/p>\n Chinyamula could not say how much they were spending in putting up the event let alone the amount being given to Makhabane.<\/p>\n Makhabane\u2019s manager, Cynthia Mathenjiwa, confirmed of the musician\u2019s performance in the country and that he was ready.<\/p>\n Namadingo, who has soared with his Lero <\/em>album he released last year, said he was looking forward to the concert and sharing the stage with Makhabane and Mussa.<\/p>\n Mussa\u2019s manager, Samuel Chiwaka, also said his artist was ready for the event.<\/p>\n \u201cEverything is in place, actually all the three artists are of international class so there is nothing like local artists.
