{"id":2961,"date":"2015-05-25T07:50:11","date_gmt":"2015-05-25T07:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=2961"},"modified":"2015-05-25T07:50:11","modified_gmt":"2015-05-25T07:50:11","slug":"steve-chisale-lilian-kawaza-triumph-in-tnm-golf","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/05\/25\/steve-chisale-lilian-kawaza-triumph-in-tnm-golf\/","title":{"rendered":"Steve Chisale, Lilian Kawaza triumph in TNM golf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Steve Chisale overcame a pool of 84 golfers to win TNM\u2019s e-Wimax golf tournament held at Gymkhana Club in Zomba on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Chisale, posted 46 points to emerge the champion and received a Galaxy Tab 4.<\/p>\n<p>Fukani Gani was on second position and got Galaxy Tab 3 while third placed Square Mkwanda got a Haus Tab 3.<\/p>\n<p>Chisale said he was proud to win the competition just a day before celebrating his son\u2019s birthday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am very proud to win this competition. I have been looking forward to winning this competition for a long time. Tomorrow is my son\u2019s birthday, so I dedicate this win to him. This is for my son,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Chisale attributed his success to playing regular balls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe secret is I didn\u2019t play long balls. I was playing regular balls, always on the fairway,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In ladies category, Lilian Kawaza emerged champion. It was her first ever golf tournament in Zomba.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt feels good to be a winner. When you are participating in any competition it\u2019s either you win or lose and coming out a winner really feels good,\u201d Kawaza said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cApparently, it was my first time to play in Zomba at Gymnkana Club. So when I was coming from Blantyre I was saying I am going to Zomba to enjoy my golf.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that was my secret. I didn\u2019t come here to win, I came here rather to have fun and in the process I came out a winner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>TNM Head of Region for Southern Region, Francis Mwamadi, said TNM was impressed with the level of competition during the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTNM decided to come here at Gymnkana mainly to interact with our customers in Zomba and surrounding areas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a capability to offer the customers very fast internet,\u201d he said. \u201cWe wanted to let the customers know about the internet services that we offer.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>TNM also held Malawi Open tournament in Lilongwe Golf Club in April where TNM embarked on a phase to promote its wide range of Smart Data products.<\/p>\n<p>Smart Data e-wimax is one of the high-speed internet data products that TNM offers under the TNM Business Services unit which the company acquired from Burco Electronic Services.<\/p>\n<p>Mwamadi said the e-Wimax offers high internet speeds and it is able to achieve download speeds of up to five megabits per second for fixed residential service and up to 4 Mbps for mobile users.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, TNM offers 2 different types of Smart e-Wimax packages and these are Kwathu for indoor users and Panja services for outdoor surfers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Steve Chisale overcame a pool of 84 golfers to win TNM\u2019s e-Wimax golf tournament held at Gymkhana Club in Zomba on Saturday.
