The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Malawi chapter on Wednesday announced the return of the Annual Marketers Conference to be held from September 8 to 11 at Sunbird Nkopola in Mangochi.<\/p>\n
Making the announcement, CIM Malawi President, Stanley Mkwamba, said the annual conferences which is being held for the fifth year running comes under the theme; Digital Marketing: Is Malawi Ready?<\/p>\n
Mkwamba said the world had witnessed the spontaneous emergence of digital marketing which is fast changing the way brands and businesses utilise technology hence the conference\u2019s objective to zero-in on the opportunities presented by the new medium.<\/p>\n
\u201cDigital marketing is becoming more prevalent, as digital platforms are increasingly incorporated into marketing plans as we now spend more and more time on mobile and digital devices.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe conference shall reflect on opportunities that have been availed by digital marketing and options of harnessing this emerging medium for the benefit of respective brands,\u201d Mkwamba said.<\/p>\n
He observed that the conference theme shall be approached through an exciting package of experiential presentations, a panel discussion and exhibitions, adding that the 2016 conference menu also includes a motivational speaker.<\/p>\n
Mkwamba also announced that the marketers\u2019 conference shall also coincide with the 2016 annual general conference on Saturday, September 11. During the AGM, CIM Malawi members shall elect new office bearers.<\/p>\n
He encouraged marketers to book for their place at the conference promising a better and bigger indaba than the previous ones.<\/p>\n
Other sideline and fun activities include a boat ride, party at Cape Maclear plus a corporate social responsibility at Nkope School for the Blind, an institution they adopted during last year\u2019s conference.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
