We want it to be listened to in many areas across the country.

So we are satisfied with how everything has gone and what we have also noted is that people need such kind of outings where they can come with their families,” said Livingwaters Radio Station Manager Patrick Kamkwatira.

He said the Gospel Extravaganza was a family entertainment and that they were happy that families came out and enjoyed the gospel vibes.

“It was nice to see families, dad and mum dancing throughout and we are even satisfied with the performances on the day. All the artists put up great performances,” said Kamkwatira.

Random interviews with people during the show also indicated that they were satisfied with the performances on the day.

Some of the artists, who performed on the day, include Thocco Katimba, King James Phiri, Eliza Mponya, Kamuzu Barracks Gospel Singers, Princess Chitsulo and Great Angels Choir which closed the curtains on the day.

“We are happy to perform here as Great Angels Choir and support Livingwaters Church. As a group we will continue to be involved in such shows.

We are currently also targeting performances in the rural areas and we also want to break the ground by performing outside the country,” said Great Angels’ Music Director Ephraim Zonda.

Zonda also took time out to explain that the group’s lead singer Jessie Kaliwo will continue to perform with Great Angels Choir.

“Some people have been asking us about the future of Great Angels as regards our lead singer Jessie Kaliwo, who got married recently to Khumbo, who is a member of Kafita CCAP Church. Everything is okay Jessie is part of us and will continue to perform with Great Angels Choir,” said Zonda.

As Jessie led for Great Angels Choir, her husband was showing his skills on the keyboard as his band Rolling Sounds backed some of the gospel artists on the day.

A Gospel Extravaganza organised by Livingwaters Church Radio at Robin’s Park in Blantyre on Sunday managed to pull a huge audience despite having a soccer match between Nyasa Big Bullets and Silver Strikers at Kamuzu Stadium which is about 500 metres from the venue.
