{"id":28542,"date":"2016-07-22T11:14:15","date_gmt":"2016-07-22T09:14:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=28542"},"modified":"2016-07-22T11:14:15","modified_gmt":"2016-07-22T09:14:15","slug":"osgood-kayuni-wilson-masamba-rematch-on","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/07\/22\/osgood-kayuni-wilson-masamba-rematch-on\/","title":{"rendered":"Osgood Kayuni, Wilson Masamba rematch on"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Former national junior welterweight champion, Osgood Kayuni, and ex-featherweight champion, Wilson Masamba, are set to rekindle their rivalry in a non-title catch-weight fight in September.<\/p>\n<p>This will be their third meeting, having fought twice in 2012 when Kayuni won both fights, the first on unanimous decision and second on a technical knockout in the fifth round.<\/p>\n<p>Mulanje Last Boxing Promotions Managing Director, Mike Chitenje, has engaged both camps for a rematch.<\/p>\n<p>Chitenje hinted that the fight might be held in Lilongwe to give Capital City boxing fans a rare retreat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn principle, we have an agreement with both camps. The idea is to give Lilongwe fans a rare treat because they did not watch the two last fights held in Blantyre. On the part of the venue, we will officially announce when both camps sign agreements,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Chitenje said he had secured massive sponsorship to ensure that the two meet for the third time.<\/p>\n<p>Masamba, 31, confirmed that he was approached and was ready to face Kayuni.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a fight I am ready to pick because I have a score to settle with Kayuni.
