{"id":28075,"date":"2016-07-15T10:16:38","date_gmt":"2016-07-15T08:16:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=28075"},"modified":"2016-07-15T10:16:38","modified_gmt":"2016-07-15T08:16:38","slug":"rainbow-paints-sponsorship-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/07\/15\/rainbow-paints-sponsorship-back\/","title":{"rendered":"Rainbow Paints sponsorship back"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rainbow Paints reaffirmed its commitment to the Southern Region Netball League (SRNL)\u2014the stronghold of domestic netball\u2014after unveiling K4 million-sponsorship at Blantyre Youth Centre on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s Sales and Marketing Executive, Jangale Chiosa, said the sponsorship fulfills the promise they made during last season\u2019s closing ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are accountable and transparent and that is why you have seen us today,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>SRNL General Secretary, Annie Hanjahanja, said they were delighted with Rainbow Paints\u2019 support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf this league was inactive then Malawi\u2019s netball would have been dealt a heavy blow. The league is the backbone of the Malawi National Netball Team as it contributes a lot of players,\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA bit of statistics: It is this league that produced Malawi\u2019s first netball export to overseas in the name of Mwawi Kumwenda. This league has produced national team players, coaches and doctors among others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The sponsorship also comprises media awards for all platforms, including a specialised Best Female Journalist category.
