TNM Super League defending champions, Nyasa Big Bullets bounced back to beat Civo United 2-0 in a TNM Super League first-round match at Civo Stadium in Lilongwe Sunday.<\/p>\n
Forwards Muhammad Sulumba and Mussa Manyenje grabbed a goal each to hand the People\u2019s Team their first win in four games.<\/p>\n
Bullets, who lost 1-0 to Kamuzu Barracks on Saturday at the same venue, climbed to ninth position with 16 points.<\/p>\n
Bullets are a step and a point behind rivals, Be Forward Wanderers, whose impressive run of home form continued on Sunday when they came from behind to upset Azam Tigers in an ill-tempered match at Kamuzu Stadium.<\/p>\n
Early in the game, towering striker Peter Katsonga picked a loose ball after a defensive mix-up in Wanderers\u2019 defence to calmly chest-control and slide the ball into the net.<\/p>\n
Tigers\u2019 lead eventually vanished into thin air as in-form Wanderers\u2019 striker, Peter Wadabwa, headed in the equaliser after meeting Mike Kaziputa\u2019s high ball in the box with 15 minutes to half-time.<\/p>\n
Two minutes into the second half, Isaac Kaliyati headed in the second for Wanderers from a rebound following Wadabwa\u2019s delivery from the left into the box. Kaliati\u2019s initial header had deflected off the frame.<\/p>\n
The match was not without drama as reserve referee, Waneck Mlenga, dismissed from the bench Tigers coach, Gerald Phiri Snr and technical director, Robin Alufandika, for abusive language.
