{"id":27738,"date":"2016-07-11T11:15:16","date_gmt":"2016-07-11T09:15:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=27738"},"modified":"2016-07-11T11:15:16","modified_gmt":"2016-07-11T09:15:16","slug":"julius-taulo-defeats-brother-to-win-chavula-open-squash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/07\/11\/julius-taulo-defeats-brother-to-win-chavula-open-squash\/","title":{"rendered":"Julius Taulo defeats brother to win Chavula Open squash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Julius Taulo used his superiority to silence younger brother, Aubrey, during Kayiska Chavula Open Squash Tournament held at Blantyre Sports Club on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>It was a closely-contested final which saw the elder brother winning 3-2.<\/p>\n<p>Former national champion, James Matewere, defeated Chisomo Taulo to finish on third position.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament was sponsored by Hope Kayiska Chavula in memory of departed squash player Joseph Taulo.<\/p>\n<p>The Taulo brothers are becoming a dominant family in squash with the two finalists having competed in the last tournament earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>During the AON tournament, it was Aubrey who humbled his elder brother.<\/p>\n<p>President of Squash Malawi, Jimmy Kawaye, thanked Hope Chavula, for leading by example in sponsoring the tournament.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are going through difficult times financially and it is our hope that other former squash players will come to the aid of squash,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Chavula pledged to sponsor another tournament next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSquash is my game.
