Sweden-based striker Tabitha Chawinga says she is being haunted by injuries this season.<\/p>\n
In an interview on Monday, the Kvarnsverdens IK striker admitted that she has struggled in the top- flight Swedish league having scored six goals, six adrift of current leading goal scorer in 11 games this season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have started the season on a bad note due to injuries. I have been playing some games on pain-killers and bandages. For instance, I have played five games with an ankle injury and three games with a hip injury, but slowly I am getting better,\u201d Chawinga explained.<\/p>\n
However, the former DVD Sunshine Chawinga was confident of winning the top goal scorer award for a third consecutive year in Sweden.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have a good record in Sweden because I have won the Golden Boot twice in two years and I will work hard to preserve my record,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Chawinga finished as the top goal scorer in two consecutive seasons in the third and second-tier leagues.<\/p>\n
Last season, Chawinga netted 43 goals to guide her side to an automatic promotion to the top flight league.<\/p>\n
She also finished as the top goal scorer in her debut season with 38 goals when playing for Krokom \/ Dvarssatts.<\/p>\n
