{"id":27362,"date":"2016-07-04T15:38:26","date_gmt":"2016-07-04T13:38:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=27362"},"modified":"2016-07-04T15:38:26","modified_gmt":"2016-07-04T13:38:26","slug":"wizards-hold-big-bullets-on-grants-debut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/07\/04\/wizards-hold-big-bullets-on-grants-debut\/","title":{"rendered":"Wizards hold Big Bullets on Grant\u2019s debut"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Forgotten striker Grant Lungu debuted for Wizards at Kamuzu Stadium against his former team, Nyasa Big Bullets, in a TNM Super League contest that ended 1-1 yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>While Lungu did not register a shot on target, substitute Patrick Phiri salvaged a point through a deflected effort that left Bullets defence in sixes and sevens as the rookies cancelled out Chiukepo Msowoya\u2019s 39th minute goal for the defending champions.<\/p>\n<p>Bullets lie on 10th position with 15 points from 11 games, 10 points behind leaders Blue Eagles, Wizards remain 13th with 11 points from nine games after this draw on a cold afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>It was a closely contested game that had Bullets failing to translate their dominance into more goals as Kondwani Kumwenda shot against the frame with Wizards twice clearing off the line attempts by Henry Kabichi and Msowoya, who had replaced Diverson Mlozi.<\/p>\n<p>Bullets coach Franco Ndawa featured Niyikiza Aimable and Mlozi in attack, whereas the visitors paraded experienced Lungu, Cuthbert Sinetre and Jimmy Chikulekule.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, Bullets played in the hands of Wizards by also playing short non-progressive passes in a crowded midfield.
