Flames captain Limbikani Mzava is edging closer to completing his move from Mpumalanga Black Aces to Golden Arrows in the South Africa Absa Premier Soccer League (PSL).<\/p>\n
Mzava is also wanted by South African giants, Orlando Pirates, but it appears that Arrows have won the race to sign the former Escom United and Azam Tigers defender.<\/p>\n
South African media reported over the weekend that Aces duo, Mzava and Lehlohonolo Nonyane, had signed for Arrows after they were not included in the plans of new Cape Town City FC boss John Comitis, who purchased Aces Premier Soccer League status.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll the players have been signed by Arrows and they will be part of the team next season. Clinton Larsen knows these players well, having previously worked with them at Celtic,\u201d www. kickoff.com reported over the weekend.<\/p>\n
However, Mzava was not readily available for his comment on the issue.<\/p>\n
The future of many Malawian players in the PSL is still uncertain.<\/p>\n
Atusaye Nyondo, Micium Mhone and Robin Ngalande seem unsettled at their respective clubs due to various reasons.<\/p>\n
Nyondo, whose club University of Pretoria got relegated, has refused to rule out a move out away from the Tswane outfit, whereas there are strong indications that Bidvest Wits will not renew Ngalande\u2019s contract after the expiry of his deal.<\/p>\n
Mhone has indicated that he wants to stay at relegated Jomo Cosmos, but a move away from the club cannot be ruled out.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Gerald Phiri Jnr agent Paul Mitchel says his client is hoping for a successful season at Wits next season after spending a year without kicking a club ball due to work permit hitches.<\/p>\n
He had a brief loan deal in Botswana with Township Rollers, but did not play due to the same hitch.<\/p>\n
Mitchel said yesterday that he has got an assurance from Wits that Phiri is in the coach\u2019s plans for next season.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is looking forward to it and hopefully he will enjoy game-time next season,\u201d Mitchel said from South Africa.<\/p>\n
