Former middleweight champion Charles Misanjo and current holder Brian Mwando will renew their rivalry when they meet in a 12-round title fight at Robins Park in Blantyre Saturday.<\/p>\n
This is their fourth meeting with Mwando winning the first fight and Misanjo the last two.<\/p>\n
The last fight ended in controversy as Mwando\u2019s camp disputed the result, and after a fracas, the Zimbabwean boxer was slapped with a six-month ban.<\/p>\n
Since then, Mwando has returned strongly, winning six successive fights, including the middleweight title after beating Felix Mwamaso.<\/p>\n
Misanjo, 26, who previously struggled to shift from super welterweight to middleweight category, claimed to have since squeezed his way into the required weight.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am weighing 72kgs, but the official weight will be known on Friday [today] during the official weigh-in. However, I am not fazed ahead of the fight. I will give him a proper beating. I know his weaknesses,\u201d said the boxer who has fought 23 times, winning 15 fights and losing eight.<\/p>\n
Misanjo is under pressure from his stable, No Pain No Gain Boxing Promotions, to win a belt after one of the boxers\u2019 from the camp, Chikondi Makawa, lost the stable\u2019s sole belt to Kudakwache Banda last Sunday.<\/p>\n
Mwando challenged that he had done his homework, adding \u201cI won\u2019t talk much. Thoughts of losing don\u2019t exist in my mind.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mwando has 15 wins and six defeats in 21 fights.<\/p>\n
Alufandika Boxing Promotions is promoting the title fight.<\/p>\n
