{"id":27065,"date":"2016-06-29T11:38:43","date_gmt":"2016-06-29T09:38:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=27065"},"modified":"2016-06-29T11:38:43","modified_gmt":"2016-06-29T09:38:43","slug":"carlsberg-partners-donate-to-qech","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/06\/29\/carlsberg-partners-donate-to-qech\/","title":{"rendered":"Carlsberg, partners donate to QECH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Carlsberg Malawi, in partnership with charitable organisations such as CitiHope, Med-Share and the Coca- Cola Africa Foundation on Monday donated various medical equipment worth US$138,777.56 to the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the equipment donated include oxygen concentrators, medical test monitors, wheel chairs, trolleys, gloves and face masks.<\/p>\n<p>Carlsberg Malawi Corporate Communications Officer Towela Munthali said the donation was made as part of the business\u2019 corporate social responsibility in partnership with the three institutions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we are in a business, we realise that it is the role of every stakeholder in ensuring that we create a health nation, hence, this commitment,\u201d said Munthali.<\/p>\n<p>CitiHope Country Director Gabriel Msongole said through the initiative, the four institutions are tasked to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the country\u2019s health sector.<\/p>\n<p>QECH Chief Hospital Administrator Themba Mhango said the equipment would help ease challenges faced by the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Mhango appealed to other companies and organisations to emulate the gesture.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Carlsberg Malawi, in partnership with charitable organisations such as CitiHope, Med-Share and the Coca- Cola Africa Foundation on Monday donated various medical equipment worth US$138,777.56 to the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.
