{"id":26222,"date":"2016-06-15T10:01:09","date_gmt":"2016-06-15T08:01:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=26222"},"modified":"2016-06-15T10:01:09","modified_gmt":"2016-06-15T08:01:09","slug":"mobimax-expands-reach-introduces-new-services","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/06\/15\/mobimax-expands-reach-introduces-new-services\/","title":{"rendered":"MobiMax expands reach, introduces new services"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Malcom Limited, the operator of Malawi\u2019s first ever charge card, MobiMax, has announced that it is expanding the MobiMax Point of Sale (POS) device network and its product profile after undertaking major software updates and system audits.<\/p>\n<p>MalCOM Chi e f Executive Officer, Chris Kanyuka, said in an interview that in line with its vision of providing a secure and convenient cashless spending financial platform in Malawi, the MobiMax Charge Card will expand its network of POS devices by July this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe MobiMax Charge card will from June 2016 be available for use in an expanded network including post offices, hospitals and pharmacies, filling stations, upmarket supermarkets, hotels, clubs and filling stations, to support our ever increasing portfolio of cardholders\u201d said Kanyuka.<\/p>\n<p>MobiMax has to date registered over 12, 000 customers on its transaction platform.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe MobiMax integrated fuel and hospitality card will provide corporates the opportunity to issue a post-paid card to their employees to access allowances, fuel, hotel stay and other hospitality facilities, whilst the corporate medical card will enable employees of internally managed medical schemes to access medical services without having to get prior authority from the employer and reduce fraudulent medical claims whilst enabling the employer to manage and monitor medical expenses and eliminate reconciliation disputes with service providers,\u201d added Kanyuka.<\/p>\n<p>He said the MobiMax wages card will enable employers to pay wages to staff by topping up the employees\u2019 cards thereby avoiding cash handling security issues at reduced charges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe personal card will enable cardholders to access goods, services and draw cash whilst the personal medical card will allow the cardholder to pay for medical shortfalls. All these expenses will be recovered from salary in arrears, enabling the cardholder to live comfortably from payday to payday\u201d explained Kanyuka.
