Mukufuna tizichita kukuuzilani? Amwene mukukanika ntchitotu <\/em>(You are failing to do your job). You need to push the FA to realise the importance of playing for the national team.<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cI have 100 [over] caps. Our former captain Peter Mponda also managed to do the same, but the nation is quiet. These youngsters will be encouraged to work hard if we honour those who have earned more caps\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Fam President, Walter Nyamilandu, said they will take up the matter with government since the footballers serve the nation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey indeed need to be honored for being patriotic to the country. I support the suggestion. We need to discuss among ourselves on how best they can be rewarded for carrying the flag of Malawi. When players are retiring, it is vital to organise a testimonial match.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fam does not have records of most capped players, but United Kingdom-based football researcher, Mario Antoine, established that Young Chimodzi is the most capped with 154 games. Chimodzi is also Malawi national football team\u2019s highest scoring defender with 12 goals, trailed by Jack Chamangwana\u2019s 10.<\/p>\n<p>Kinnah Phiri is Malawi\u2019s all-time top scorer with 67 goals in 110 games followed by Lawrence Waya\u2019s 25 in 125 matches.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Confederation of Africa Football (Caf) has rescheduled the Flames fixture against Zimbabwe from Saturday at Rufalo Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Malawi has two points from five games and anchor the group which Zimbabwe leads on eight points. The group winne will qualify for 2017 Gabon Afcon finals.
