{"id":25400,"date":"2016-06-01T11:09:30","date_gmt":"2016-06-01T09:09:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=25400"},"modified":"2016-06-01T11:09:30","modified_gmt":"2016-06-01T09:09:30","slug":"collins-chitimbe-returns-at-pa-station","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/06\/01\/collins-chitimbe-returns-at-pa-station\/","title":{"rendered":"Collins Chitimbe returns at Pa Station"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Musician Collins Chitimbe, who has not performed live for a long time, returns to Pa Station in Blantyre on Sunday where he is expected to give his fans a dosage of his new album <em>Lonjezo<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Chitimbe started his music career in 2005 and <em>Lonjezo <\/em>is his fifth album.<\/p>\n<p>The singer said on Tuesday that he took a break from live performances to finalise his new album.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy album will be launched soon but I just wanted to connect with my fans first before the launch. It has been a while since I last performed live. Apart from working on my new album, I also wanted to give my younger brother time to promote his album,\u201d said Chitimbe.<\/p>\n<p>His brother Innocent, who is well known as a football commentator, released his album Luso <em>Langa <\/em>last year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am now working together with my brother. With the new band that we have formed, we want to achieve great things together,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The new band, Nyasa Vibration, comprises Collins, Innocent, Richard Phopheya and Seriousman on vocals.<\/p>\n<p>The others are Steve Phambala (lead guitar), Andy Chikopa (bass guitar), Dave Nachuma (keyboard), Luka Demister (percussion), Owen Chisungwi (Rhythm guitar), Blessings Chidothi (drums) and Austin Kuleti (drums).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have brought together experienced instrumentalists and artists who can perform at any function,\u201d Chitimbe said.<\/p>\n<p>At Pa Station on Sunday, the Nyasa Vibrations performance will be spiced up by presidential mimickers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to give full entertainment to our fans that is why we are working with the presidential mimickers,\u201d said Chitimbe.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Musician Collins Chitimbe, who has not performed live for a long time, returns to Pa Station in Blantyre on Sunday where he is expected to give his fans a dosage of his new album Lonjezo.
