We know it will be difficult for fans but we had no choice,” said Takudziwani.

He said they were prepared for the weekend shows adding that things were moving in the right direction for them.

“For us so far so good we are picking up and we are thankful for the encouragement we have received from people during our previous shows and there is a great improvement,” he said.

Other artists performing with Wailing Brothers in the three shows are Moda and Anold Fumulani as well as Toza Matafale.

Black Missionaries returns to Dwangwa Club after being sued recently for their failure to perform there on January 1.

The group was sued after its failure to refund the sum of K1.2 million performance fees.

But Anjiru said they settled the issue and that they agreed to hold a performance on Saturday.

“This date was fixed longtime ago after our agreement to perform there following our failure last time. So it’s unfortunate the date is also the same day our friends Wailing Brothers are performing in Dwangwa. We are ready for the show,” he said.

Black Missionaries last Sunday performed at Ozone Refreshment Centre where they pulled an impressive audience however, Anthony ‘Mr Cool’ Makondetsa was not part of the show despite being billed to perform.

This prompted some people at the show to start asking for him.

Makondetsa has not been performing for some time and missed the South Africa trip due to illness.

Anjiru said Makondetsa was supposed to be part of the show but they decided to go it alone to give him time to rest and that he returns on stage this weekend.

The ‘Mbumba Ya Abrahamu’ star said yesterday that he was ready for the stage and that he was fully fit.

“Last weekend I thought I should still give myself time but now all is set and I am performing this weekend so fans should not worry,” he said.

Reggae groups Black Missionaries and Wailing Brothers will on Saturday perform in Dwangwa on the same day and same night but in different places.
