{"id":24953,"date":"2016-05-25T11:51:55","date_gmt":"2016-05-25T09:51:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=24953"},"modified":"2016-05-25T11:51:55","modified_gmt":"2016-05-25T09:51:55","slug":"nomads-appeal-for-calm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/05\/25\/nomads-appeal-for-calm\/","title":{"rendered":"Nomads appeal for calm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In the height of tension and fans\u2019 disappointment with Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 poor run of form in the TNM Super League, the club\u2019s executive committee has called for calm among the Nomads\u2019 faithful.<\/p>\n<p>Just a week after reshuffling the coaching panel with Eddington Ng\u2019onamo replacing Jack Chamangwana as coach, the Nomads returned from the Northern Region with only two points after drawing against Karonga United 0-0 on Sunday and 2-2 against Moyale Barracks on Monday at Mzuzu Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>The club\u2019s General Secretary, Mike Butao, said the club\u2019s executive committee would consult before deciding the way forward.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaking emotional decisions now may only cause panic and accelerate the decline. We ask for patience so that we can consult players, supporters, coaches and other stakeholders within the next few days to allow us make credible and sober decisions that will move the club forward,\u201d Butao said.<\/p>\n<p>The Nomads have won only one match in seven league matches, albeit their activity on the transfer market where they made top signings, including three international players.<\/p>\n<p>Wanderers are in an unenviable ninth position with eight points from seven matches.<\/p>\n<p>Wanderers are consequently 10 points behind league leaders, Blue Eagles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the height of tension and fans\u2019 disappointment with Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 poor run of form in the TNM Super League, the club\u2019s executive committee has called for calm among the Nomads\u2019 faithful.
