Struggling Civo United coach, Millias Pofera, says he is concerned with a mounting injury crisis in his squad.<\/p>\n
The civil servants, who have lost two consecutive games in the TNM Super League and Presidential Cup, have 10 players on the injury list.<\/p>\n
Civo lost 1-2 to Moyale Barracks at home in the TNM Super League before being booted out of the Presidential Cup by second-tier league side, Masters Security FC after losing 1-0 in a replay match on Monday.<\/p>\n
Pofera Wednesday admitted that he was concerned with the absence of some of his stars due to the injuries.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe know that the supporters need good results all the time and we are trying hard to fix the problems,\u201d Pofera said.<\/p>\n
Vice-Captain Blessings Kawanga, Jelesi Lufeyo, Ian Chinyama, Vincent Nyangulu, Mathias Nyirenda, Ratias Banda and Fletcher Bandawe are among the injured players.<\/p>\n
However, Pofera believes he is the right man to turn the corner for Civo this season.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am not under pressure. These things happen in football, but I am positive that we will soon return to winning ways,\u201d Pofera insisted.<\/p>\n
Reports suggest Civo executive committee is slowly losing patience with the former Dedza Young Soccer mentor.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are not panicking and we have not reached a point where we can give a coach an ultimatum because we are certain that things will improve soon,\u201d Civo Vice- Chairperson, Owen Malijani, said yesterday.<\/p>\n
