Under-pressure Be Forward Wanderers will hold an emergency meeting today to find solutions to the team\u2019s poor showing in the TNM Super League.<\/p>\n
Placed 10th with six points from five games, Wanderers suffered their first defeat of the season when they went down 3-2 to Mafco at Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Supporters mobbed the Nomads after the final whistle and the team\u2019s hired bus was whisked away.<\/p>\n
Wanderers Second Vice- Chairperson, Allan Chuma, confirmed the meeting, but ruled out the possibility of sacking Coach Jack Chamangwana.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is a meeting where we will tackle all issues. We have assembled one of the best squads on the land and the team needs time to gel. It is too early to call for the sacking of the coach. We just need to give the technical panel time,\u201d he said, adding that general secretary, Mike Butao, was better placed to comment about the emergency meeting.<\/p>\n
Apparently, Wanderers supporters were meeting yesterday as we went to press.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Vice-Team Manager, Steve Madeira, has said the technical panel is not happy with the team\u2019s performance.<\/p>\n
We take responsibility for the team\u2019s failure. The supporters have every reason to voice out their concerns when things are not going the right way for the team,\u201d Madeira said.<\/p>\n
He said players trained well yesterday in preparation for tomorrow\u2019s Presidential Cup encounter against Red Lions at Kamuzu Stadium.<\/p>\n
