As they aim for a third consecutive TNM Super League title, Nyasa Big Bullets, have challenged their players to prove their worth this season.<\/p>\n
The club\u2019s Team Manager, Rahim Ishmael, issued the warning last Saturday after a 2-0 victory over Epac FC to record the People\u2019s Team\u2019s first home win of the season.<\/p>\n
Bullets made a number of changes, including dropping goalkeeper Ernest Kakhobwe, Miracle Gabeya and George Nyirenda, while giving rare starts to Mike Mkwate, Owen Chaima, Pilirani Zonda and Henry Kabichi.<\/p>\n
Nyirenda, Diverson Mlozi and former captain Fischer Kondowe could not even make the bench, ironically after issues of indiscipline, among some of the players, were reported last week.<\/p>\n
Ishmael said only those that deserve to play would get a chance.<\/p>\n
\u201cBullets is a big team and no player is above the club. No player should think that he deserves to play automatically. We will only pick the players that work hard in training and they are delivering. There is good competition in the squad, therefore, everybody must work hard to be given a chance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Ishmael added that the coaching panel was impressed with the performance of the fringe players in a dominant display that saw captain, Chiukepo Msowoya, scoring a first-half brace.<\/p>\n
Bullets have nine points from five matches as they seek to gain ground on runaway leaders, Blue Eagles.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have 10 games remaining in the first round. We can make a difference in these games and get into a good position. We will keep on working hard,\u201d Ishmael said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
