{"id":24223,"date":"2016-05-13T10:14:37","date_gmt":"2016-05-13T08:14:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=24223"},"modified":"2016-05-13T10:15:45","modified_gmt":"2016-05-13T08:15:45","slug":"hearts-invite-zambian-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/05\/13\/hearts-invite-zambian-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Hearts invite Zambian team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few days after returning from Zambia, Lilongwe-based, Brave Hearts, have disclosed that they will invite a Zambian team next month.<\/p>\n<p>The tournament will involve eight men\u2019s and four women\u2019s basketball teams plus a guest team from Zambia.<\/p>\n<p>The invitation is a direct response to a gesture shown by Basketball Association of Zambia when it invited the Lilongwe team to a tournament in Lusaka last weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Brave Hearts Managing Director, Griffin Kalua, yesterday confirmed that his sister companies G.Y Imports and Exports and Dr Print will sponsor the forthcoming competition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs Brave Hearts, we have a men\u2019s team and a ladies\u2019 team, so we will feature a men\u2019s and a ladies team in the tournament. Our expectation is that the tournament will be the best ever in Malawi,\u201d Kalua said.<\/p>\n<p>During the Zambia tour, Brave Hearts registered mixed fortunes, losing 61-56 to Zambian opponents, Munali Sons, before beating Rapid Bulls 67-42 in their last game.<\/p>\n<p>Kalua also described the Zambia tour as a learning curve.<\/p>\n<p>Early this year, Brave Hearts also participated in a tournament in Tanzania. During their launch last year, Hearts also hosted two Tanzania teams.<\/p>\n<p>The team\u2019s trip to Zambia was fully-funded by Dr Print who are printing experts as well as G.Y Imports and Exports, who are dealers in ICT equipment, furniture, stationery and other domestic appliances.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A few days after returning from Zambia, Lilongwe-based, Brave Hearts, have disclosed that they will invite a Zambian team next month.
