{"id":23731,"date":"2016-05-05T10:21:08","date_gmt":"2016-05-05T08:21:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=23731"},"modified":"2016-05-05T10:21:08","modified_gmt":"2016-05-05T08:21:08","slug":"nilibe-pulobulemu-star-back-for-more-shows","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2016\/05\/05\/nilibe-pulobulemu-star-back-for-more-shows\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Nilibe Pulobulemu\u2019 star back for more shows"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Zambian musician Mr Magigi real name James Banda, who performed in the country recently, is back for more shows.<\/p>\n<p>The musician will be performing in three places this weekend and is once again here courtesy of Impakt Events.<\/p>\n<p>Renowned musician and dancer Wendy Harawa, who hinted recently that she was managing the musician through Impakt Events confirmed yesterday that Mr Magigi arrives in the country today.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe did say when Mr Magigi performed in the country that he would be coming back for more shows. The shows have been organised by public demand,\u201d said Wendy.<\/p>\n<p>He said the Zambian musician, who has soared with the hit \u2018Nilibe Pulobulemu,\u2019 only performed in a few places and that a lot of people have been asking for his return.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were actually planning a countrywide tour but there are several things we are we are working on at Impakt Events. So the arrangement is that he will be coming only when we are free,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>During a show at Chez Ntemba in Blantyre, Mr Magigi, who performed during the Malawi versus Zambia gig sharing the stage with fellow Zambian group Organised Family offered the best impressing with \u2018Nilibe Pulobulemu,\u2019 but his other songs were strange to the audience.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Nilibe Pulobulemu\u2019 is a hit song which has taken the country by storm such that even the country\u2019s President Peter Mutharika is aware of the track.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The artist, who showed potential in his singing and dancing during his first outing in the country, said he was not a \u2018one track\u2019 musician but he has an album.<\/p>\n<p>Wendy said this was also a chance for Zambian and Malawian musicians to network.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Magigi is once again expected to share the stage with local artists including Soldier Lucius Banda, Lambanie Dube, Nepman and Sam Simakweli.<\/p>\n<p>The first show is tomorrow at Joe\u2019s Motel in Mchinji and then on Saturday Riverside in Salima before dating Pajokala Lodge in Zomba on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>But tomorrow Lucius is also expected to perform at the launch of his brother Paul\u2019s DVD at Bingu International Conference Centre at Umodzi Park in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n<p>Lucius said he would first perform at the launch of his brother\u2019s DVD launch before moving on to Mchinji.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will first perform at BICC where shows start early.
